Greetings Fellow Dice Fans!

Today we’re looking at Vulture, Adrian Toomes from the Marvel Amazing Spider-Man set.

Vulture, Adrian Toomes

Ruling
Vulture’s first ability isn’t too confusing. It’s similar to Black Widow, Tsarina‘s ability in wording and how it works. Ever Vulture die that blocks will deal one damage to each attacking character die.

Vulture’s second part of his ability is what has some folks confused. Anytime a character die leaves the field zone, for any reason, Vulture will get +4A for each one, until end of turn. You can use Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Monstrous Dragon to KO your characters and boost Vulture’s attack in the process; or you can use a Basic Action like Imprisoned and for each character die that you remove via Imprisoned, will boost Vulture’s attack.

Here is the official Vulture, Adrian Toomes Ruling.

Competitive Play Rating
While I absolutely love this Vulture, I don’t think he’ll see much of the competitive scene. I think some folks will try to play him because he has some good abilities and when paired with Hulk Out or something else that gives characters Overcrush, he can be deadly. I almost gave him a rating of three stars, because I feel like he could make it some rogue teams. If he had been a Mask character, I would have definitely given him three stars. I would love to be proven wrong about this character in the competitive scene.

Vulture, Adrian Toomes gets a competitive play rating of two out of five stars.

Casual Play Rating
I feel like I’m a little hard on this card’s ratings. I only give Vulture a three star rating in casual play because several people get confused on how his abilities work. I think he’s awesome for casual play, but could be the cause of arguments over how his abilities work. Arguments make for a hostile gaming environment and that’s not what anyone wants in a casual setting. To prevent an issue like that, every venue should have someone versed well enough in the rules that can make a judgement call or know where to find rulings to settle issues.

I really wanted to give him four stars because he would make such a good card for casual, I just feel like he can be too confusing and cause too many issues in a casual setting.

Vulture, Adrian Toomes gets a casual play rating of three out of five stars.

    His ability now reads:
    Vulture: Adrian Toomes
When Vulture blocks, deal 1 damage to each attacking character die.
Once per turn, when any character die leaves the Field Zone, Vulture gets +4A until end of turn.

I will not be changing my original post.
